RELEASE NR.01/UNITA/ MEMORANDUM ON NON-COMPLIANCE BY THE MPLA 1975-1998 |
AS SANÇÕES CONTRA A UNITA SÃO UM CRIME E DEVEM FINDAR O MAIS RÁPIDO POSSÍVEL... TEXTO 186 DESTA 3ª GUERRA CIVIL QUE O ENG. JOSÉ EDUARDO DOS SANTOS IMPÔS QUEM COMEÇOU A 3ª GUERRA CIVIL EM ANGOLA FOI O REGIME DE LUANDA, AFIRMAM OS 5 PERITOS DAS NAÇÕES UNIDAS! DO YOU THINK IT IS ENOUGH, UNICEF? (text in english down) "LUANDA / GENEVA / NEW YORK, 26 May 2001 - UNICEF Angola and the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Angola welcome the release of 60 Angolan children and two adults who were abducted from the ADPP Children's Town near Caxito on 5 May 2001." www.reliefweb.int I am writing this letter in my bad english...just because I am really astonished. So, UNICEF answers to UNITA statements, answers to Catholic Church statements, with this one, only, above? May I remember Ululi Sakaita kidnapped by mpla/dos Santos, Araújo Sakaita, kidnapped by mpla/dos Santos? May I remember what happened at Mavinga with namiban and mpla/dos santos army forces destroying social centers for deficients and killing citizens, kids also, in a barbnarian way? UNITA, I am quite sure, is expecting another kind of statement from UNICEF. And, before that, let me say, UNICEF has nothing to condemn, to Angolans, or to UNITA. Really nothing. May I remember that ADPP/Humana people to people is a forbiden "ngo", in several countries? Why UNICEF says nothing about that? How is it possible to think that Angolan kids are in a good place when they stay with Adpp/humana people to people members? UNICEF is saying in its statement, "They reiterate their appeal for all abducted children to be released forthwith". No names? Is it so difficult to spell - Ululi Sakaita, Araújo Sakaita? Or UNICEF is not, yet, thinking about Ululi Sakaita or about Araújo Sakaita? Or is UNICEF, only, defending mpla/dos santos? And why this silence in this UNIECF statement, in face of the kidnapping of Caxito kids from Ambaka Catholic Mission by the so called angolan army forces, denounced by D. Zacarias Kamuenho? Two eyes, two ways to see the world? Angolans will not forget that. UNICEF must make another statement to be understood in Truth. We, Angolans, are, now, too sensible when we read this kind of statements. Because, even when we see an ennemy we are enough polite to say - Hello, how do you do? And politness it is not enough in this days...specially about Angola. UNICEF must do better. Joffre Justino
